Scott Seiver is presently leading the World Series of Poker (WSOP) $50k Poker Player's Championship at the Rio casino and resort in Las Vegas, and just 11 players remain in the tournament.
According to Poker Listings, players will continue to battle it out until just eight remain and with the final table beckoning none of the entrants want to miss out on the showcase finale.
Yesterday's (July 5th) chip leader Josh Arieh was knocked out in 14th place, but Seiver has powered on and now stands on 3.54 million chips, followed by Minh Ly on 2.3 million.
The organisation recently noted that this year's WSOP event at the Rio is on track to be a record-breaking affair, with the most cash ever given out in a single event.
After 45 tournaments, the official figures showed $93,745,185 had been paid out, but with tournaments still to play - including the WSOP Main Event which starts tomorrow - this figure will continue to grow.
