Celebrity poker players have been out in force in the Bahamas, with a number of star names appearing at the Caribbean Adventure.
According to PokerListings.com, singer Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child fame was learning the ropes after recently taking up the game.
And she explained that she intends to win some money from her friends by hosting a "girls' night" when she returns to her home in Houston.
Former Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash, meanwhile, was competing alongside poker professionals, sports stars and other famous faces in a charity tournament over the weekend.
He told the site he is particularly drawn to the unpredictability that comes with the different people involved and the range of possible outcomes when playing the game.
"I'm not going to quit my day job, but I really love poker and I think I'm getting better at it," he said. "It's just such an amazing game."
