Lady GaGa to get Palms residency offer?

Pop star Lady GaGa may be offered a deal to become a resident performer at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, according to a UK newspaper.

The Daily Star reports that the 23-year-old impressed owner George Maloof when she put on a show at the venue recently and he could be willing to offer her a multi-million dollar contract to appear regularly.

Maloof was quoted as saying GaGa would be the "perfect fit" for his resort and he praised her for her dedication and professionalism.

He also claimed to be "blown away" by the Poker Face singer's Monster Ball Tour gigs at the Pearl Concert Theater on December 17th and 18th.

A host of big names from the music world have had residency positions in Las Vegas over the years, including Celine Dion and Elton John.

Other popular shows have been staged by magicians Penn and Teller and Cirque du Soleil.
