Crown Casino bans Carlton players

Two players from Aussie Rules side Carlton have been banned from the Crown Casino complex in Melbourne, Australia after getting into a fight.

Ryan Houlihan and Andrew Walker became involved in a scuffle with staff at the resort and will no longer be allowed to set foot on the premises.

According to the Herald Sun, Houlihan was staying at the hotel at the time with his girlfriend and was allowed to return to his room following the confrontation. Meanwhile, Walker was escorted from the grounds.

A spokeswoman for the casino said: "We can confirm that there was an incident at Crown Promenade Hotel early Sunday morning and as a result, two individuals have been banned from Crown."

The Crown is one of the southern hemisphere's largest gambling venues, with a gaming floor that stretches approximately half a kilometre.

It will be put in the spotlight next month when the Aussie Millions poker series gets underway.
