The World Poker Tour (WPT) is in New England today (November 5th 2009) for the World Poker Finals at the Foxwoods Hotel and Casino in Connecticut.
Play started at 12:00 EST in the $10,000 buy-in main event and it will draw to a close in five days time.
Those who compete in the tournament will each receive a starting stack of 30,000 chips and the levels will last for 90 minutes.
The final table, which takes place on November 10th 2009, starts at 16:00 EST and on every other day, play will begin at noon.
Last year, Jonathan Little triumphed in the main event to pocket more than $1.1 million in prize money after defeating Jonathan Jaffe in the heads-up.
Other players to make the final table included David Pham and Mike Matusow.
Earlier this week a deal was finalized between WPT Enterprises and Peerless Media in which the latter purchased most of the former's assets, other than cash and investments.
