Taking a vitamin supplement can help players to stay mentally alert while round the poker table, it has been claimed.
Writing for Pocket Fives, author Fox explained that the brain is heavily used in poker games and pointed out: "A healthy, sharp poker player in a good mood is a tough opponent - exactly what you want to be."
Fox himself claimed to have improved his performance on a mental agility test by three per cent two hours after taking a vitamin supplement.
He also stressed the importance of keeping one's mind active to remain mentally fit and healthy.
As well as standard exercises, players were also encouraged to leaf through poker books from time to time during the day, as this may help them to take in information they had missed.
Previously on Poker Fives, Fox told beginners that they should not try to over-complicate their play by using a good hand too sneakily.
He identified the tactic of trying to play in too deceptive a manner as "fancy-play syndrome".
