Mohegan Sun is holding a forum to discuss plans to build a $1 billion casino in Palmer, Massachusetts.
Officials will be fielding questions about the project and potential opportunities - such as job creation prospects - that the development will create, reports the Boston Herald.
If the plans go ahead, there will be a new 600-room hotel built, along with restaurants, retail and convention space.
In addition, gamers will be able to take advantage of slot machines and table gaming.
Before construction work on the casino can go ahead, lawmakers in Beacon Hill would have to legalize casino gaming.
However, there will be competition for the license, notably from Colorado developer David Nunes, the owner of Suffolk Downs Richard Fields and Las Vegas Sands chief executive officer Sheldon Adelson.
The Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut features over 40 poker tables and hosts weekly $15,000 and $10,000 tournaments.
