PokerTek is to run a 90-day trial of its automated PokerPro poker tables on cruise ship the Norwegian Pearl.
Card Player reports that the company's machines will be rolled out across all 11 of Norwegian Cruise Lines fleet should the trial be deemed a success.
Robert Perry, PokerTek's vice-president of sales, claimed to be "hopeful" the new machines would prove to be a hit.
"Our previous installations on cruise ships have proven to be profitable for our customers and well-received by their vacationers onboard," he remarked.
PokerPro tables are already a fixture of 22 boats belonging to Carnival Cruise Line.
Norwegian Cruise Line's vice-president of casino operations Jim Abbas claimed PokerPro adds "one more exciting entertainment option" to his firms fleet.
PokerPro machines have been steadily rolled out in casinos across the world in recent months, with the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City one of the biggest venues to feature the computer tables.
