Elton John's The Red Piano, which has had a run lasting for four years at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, is to come to an end in spring 2009, it has been reported.
According to Robin Leach of Las Vegas Weekly, his colleague Steve Freiss confirmed that the show is to finish next year, following rumours from Vegas De Luxe that there would be no more performances after 2008.
Elton has 25 shows booked between February and April and he will have performed roughly 250 times in total by the time the curtain comes down for the last time.
There is no news yet on who will replace the Rocket Man singer, but Celine Dion has apparently been mentioned in conversations about what will come next.
Dion has already done a long stint at the Colosseum theatre at Caesars, signing a three-year deal to perform there back in 2002, which was later extended to five years.
