Fox to celebrate New Year with celebs in Las Vegas

US television network Fox will celebrate New Year's Eve 2008 with a star-studded bash in Las Vegas, it has been reported.

According to Monsters and Critics, Fox's show will include performances from former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland and season seven American Idol winner David Cook, along with a stunt performed by Robbie Knievel.

Paying tribute to his father Evel's unsuccessful attempt to jump over the fountains at Caesars Palace 41 years ago, Robbie will try to fly over the Mirage's famous volcano landmark on a motorbike.

Mirage president Scott Sibella commented: "How better to draw the world's attention to the new Mirage and our fiery main attraction then with a spectacular stunt on one of the hottest nights of the year?"

Several more celebrity guests are set to appear, with the night's proceedings hosted by Mark Thompson and Spike Feresten.

Numerous celebrities have been seen in Las Vegas over the last few weeks, with Carmen Electra attracting a large amount of attention for her recent appearance as a bunny dealer at the Playboy Club.
