NBA legend Michael Jordan is one of a number of celebrities scheduled to appear at Minnesota's Running Aces Harness Park on Thursday for the 10th Annual Trent Tucker Celebrity Poker Tournament, it has been reported.
The former Chicago Bull has been penciled in to attend along with fellow basketball greats Scottie Pippen and Patrick Ewing, according to Poker News.
Tucker, who was himself a professional basketball player, suggested that the stars should have a great time at the Columbus venue.
He commented: "The card room at Running Aces is second to none. It will be a wonderful venue for what promises to be another successful poker tournament."
Jordan and the other NBA stars will go up against ten-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder Johnny Chan and a number of other top card sharps, including Marcel Luske.
The list of sporting luminaries at Tucker's event is arguably more impressive than the ones who turned up to a charity casino evening run by Eva Longoria last month.
That occasion was attended by several members of the San Antonio Spurs.
