The game of poker has picked up yet another high-profile fan in the form of the world's greatest swimmer Michael Phelps.
In an interview with the Baltimore Sun, the 14-time Olympic gold medal winner and 17-time world long course champion, suggested he enjoys the card game and would one day like to compete on the biggest stage - the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
"I think it would be cool to play in the WSOP," Phelps stated. "My game is a little off right now, so I'll have to start improving it a little bit."
Phelps set a new record this week at the Olympics in Beijing when he became the first person in history to win eight golds in one Games.
Those looking to combine the Olympics with gambling may wish to take part in InterCasino's Inter Olympics, which began on August 8th and will continue until the Games concludes on August 24th.
