Opening a restaurant near to casinos appears to be the key to success for chefs looking to earn their fortune.
Three of the cooks inside Forbes.com's top ten list of celebrity chef earners are involved in eateries with easy access to gambling, while another is planning on joining them soon.
Bobby Flay is the lowest-ranked of the millionaires in ninth with an estimated $1.5 million. He runs Caesars Palace's Mesa Grill in Las Vegas.
Mario Batali lies just two places above Flay in seventh with double the amount of earnings. He has opened two restaurant's in Nevada's gaming mecca in the last two years - Enoteca San Marco and B&B Ristorante.
Noboyuki Matsuhisha is the current top dog of the casino-linked earners.
His Nobu diner in Melbourne's Crown Casino has helped him to net $5 million, putting him fourth.
He will not be at the top for long, however. Gordon Ramsay, third with $7.5 million, will be opening his own eatery at Crown later this year.
