Poker event organized by airline

Continental Airlines will be hosting a Texas hold'em poker tournament to commemorate 21 years of its OnePass frequent flyer scheme.

The event, to be held at the famous Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, will be exclusive to top customers who can afford the 50,000 OnePass miles buy-in that will give them the opportunity to win a grand prize of 21 million OnePass miles.

Other prizes will be awarded to the finalists, who can expect dinners at the Golden Nugget's Grotto Ristorante and Vic and Anthony's.

Continental's senior vice president of marketing programs and contribution looked ahead to the event, which will run for four days, starting on August 6th.

"We look forward to providing this exciting opportunity to our loyal customers to celebrate the 21st year of our OnePass program," he remarked.

The American Free Press recently reported that Airbus are considering converting their A380 super jumbo jet into a flying casino which it hopes to have ready by 2012.
