Poker pro finishes runner up at WSOG

The professional poker players held up their end well at the World Series of Golf tournament in Las Vegas last week.

While Andrew Johnson, a car salesman, walked away the winner with $250,000, some of the best card players on the planet were just a few strokes behind.

Included in this list was Erick Lindgren, a two-time World Poker Tour event winner, who took $60,000 for coming second.

The Las Vegas resident has only managed to earn more money than this on the live poker tournament circuit once so far during 2008, taking $79,800 for coming fifth at event 12 of the Borgata Winter Open.

Also near the top was Allen Cunningham, who managed to make the final four despite Negreanu claiming in his Full Contact Poker blog that he was betting really badly.

Cunningham has done marginally better than Lindgren in tournament poker this year and moved up to third place in the all-time money list last month.
