Wynn Las Vegas owed $400k by Barkley

Basketball legend Charles Barkley has confirmed he owes one casino $400,000 in unpaid gambling debts, it has been reported.

According to the Associated Press, the former Dream Team member has said he can afford to pay off the money and that it is just an innocent mistake that he has not done so thus far.

"I've been gambling 20 years. I've never had this happen before," said the ex-Houston Rockets player to WJOX. "It's my fault I let the time lapse. I screwed up."

Barkley loaned the money from Wynn Las Vegas in October last year and the casino has made a complaint about it.

If Barkley does not pay up soon, he could face prosecution.

Barkley is one of the best known celebrity gamblers and has made plenty of big wins and losses over the years.
