A group of baseball players from the Los Angeles Dodgers have spoken glowingly of last night's trip to the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in California.
Gary Bennett, James Loney and Scott Proctor attended yesterday's Ante Up for Africa poker tournament at the gambling venue and told their team's official website that they had a good time.
"This is the first one I've ever been a part of," said Proctor.
"I wanted to see how it's handled and to be a part of a first-class event like this is a lot of fun. We're all going to have some good luck here."
The three players drove 70 miles to reach the destination, although some had more luck at the poker tables than others.
Proctor was knocked out early, with Bennett only lasting a little longer. Loney on the other hand did very well and Bennett commented he was surprised at the performance of his team-mate.
The San Manuel casino has more than 3,500 slot machines, a 24-hour poker room and regularly hosts 15 games of bingo every Friday.
