Rcrane up to fourth in OPOY

Poker player rcrane082985 has risen to fourth in Card Player's online player of the year (OPOY) rankings after a sensational ten days of play.

The anonymous star generated points from six events in just a week, with his latest result coming on Sunday when he earned 160 for an eighth place.

He now has a total of 2,860, putting him above BrokenTPot and within touching distance of third place Luke "IWEARGOGGLES" Staudenmaier, who has 3,032.

Leader Brian "SNo0oWMAN" Hawkins has enjoyed a good April himself and retains his position on 3,336.

He has made 610 points so far this month, which has helped him to move away from Brent "Bhanks11" Hanks who is second.

In other OPOY changes, Matt "plattsburgh" Vengrin has moved into 12th position after a high-profile second place on Sunday.

Last year's competition winner Isaac Baron told Card Player earlier this week that the standard of a lot of internet tournaments is higher than that of the European Poker Tour Grand Final, which took place a fortnight ago.
