Deal in cinemas tomorrow

Continuing the spate of gambling movies to be released over the last month, poker feature Deal comes out at cinemas in the US tomorrow.

Bret Harrison stars as Alex, a young poker prodigy who attempts to battle his way to the very top of the sport by competing in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship.

Burt Reynolds stars as his mentor, while successful poker-playing actresses Shannon Elizabeth and Jennifer Tilly both have roles as Michelle and Karen "Razor" Jones respectively.

Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak all appear as themselves, while WPT commentary team Vince Van Patten and Mike Sexton will perform the same duties for the fictional tournament.

Deal has been heavily criticized by a number of reviewers in the build up to its release, but that does not mean it will not do well at the box office.
