European Poker Tour Grand Final winner Glen Chorny has entered Card Player's player of the year (POY) rankings in tenth position.
The Canadian's biggest win of his career was good enough for 2,400 points, putting him on level terms with Gavin Griffin and Tim Vance.
He is 1,300 points behind leader Erik Seidel, who despite not having won an event of the Grand Final's magnitude, has scored in more than one major tournament this year.
Michael Binger, Michael McDonald, Brandon Cantu and Phil Ivey continue to round out the top five.
Chorny leads the table in terms of earnings for 2008, although due to his non-participation in the World Poker Tour Championship taking place this week, he will not hold on to that position for long.
He is currently more than $1 million ahead of Bertrand Grospellier, who himself holds a gap of close to $200,000 over third-placed Seidel. Ivey is a further $100,000 back in fourth.
