Barry Greenstein leaves Monte Carlo this week with another title to his a name, although it is likely it was not quite the one he was hoping for.
The American was eliminated from the European Poker Tour Grand Final on Monday, but bounced back quickly to win the $10,000 buy-in Stars of Poker tournament the following day.
He defeated former Poker Million champion John Duthie in the heads-up, after surviving the small single-table field consisting of EPT titlists Vicky Coren, Noah Boeken and Bertrand Grospellier, World Series of Poker (WSOP) and World Poker Tour champion Daniel Negreanu, WSOP bracelet holder Katja Thater and rising star Dario Minieri.
The Robin Hood of Poker's victory earned him $50,000, which leaves him in profit after his week-long stay in Monaco. Duthie also received a share of the $100,000 prize pot.
Poker fans will get the chance to see the competition at some point in the future, as television cameras were there to capture the action.
