Disruptive behavior was the reason given for the disqualification of poker player Lesley Thornburg from a World Series of Poker (WSOP) event in Caesars Atlantic City.
The contestant was leading on the chip count but was led away from the table after being responsible for a number of disturbances.
He still took away a sum of $19,026 - but missed out on the chance of continuing his good play and pocketing the $76,000 top prize due to behavior described by event officials as unsportsmanlike.
Frank Panetta, a 76-year-old from New Jersey, and Andy Santiago, who had led at one stage, came first and second in the competition. They won $76,104 and $42,824 respectively.
The WSOP proper schedule runs from Friday May 30th to Wednesday July 16th at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
