Doyle Brunson is still poker's most influential man - 30 years after his unprecedented double World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event win.
At least this is the opinion of Bluff magazine, which named him as number one in their 2008 power poker list yet again.
Brunson's place in poker history is almost set in stone. He was enshrined in the hall of fame in the 1980s and has won ten WSOP bracelets during his four decades at the top.
The 74-year-old was also one of the first people to have won both a WSOP and World Poker Tour title and has a popular website. He recently helped to arrange a celebrity poker tournament for charity.
Bluff said: "Doyle is, bar none, the most recognizable name in all of poker.
"The 'Godfather of Poker' has been there from day one of the WSOP and, from the looks of it, he is not going anywhere soon."
