Whoever wins the 2008 Aruba Poker Classic will walk away with at least $1 million in prize money, it has been announced.
The seventh edition of the annual event will see an increase of over $200,000 from this year's top prize, which was $797,355.
Event organizer George MacLean said: "We're heading back to Aruba for the biggest poker celebration of the decade."
"And we're bringing the largest first-place prize in our history with us."
MacLean said that various celebrities have signed on for the event already, joining an illustrious list of previous contestants including Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke.
Last year's winner was Travis Rice, who earned $20,000 more than 2006's winner Devon Miller.
The 2007 event attracted 548 entrants who created a pot of over $2.7 million.
According to the organizers, "the Aruba Poker Classic is an unbelievable eight days of sun, fun, beaches and million-dollar poker".
