The MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit opened its doors for the first time on Wednesday.
Aimed at the richer end of the casino market, the 17-storey, 400-room hotel promises high-end luxury for its visitors.
Marian Ilitch, the owner of the casino hotel, said: "We are excited to open the property and treat our guests to a level of hospitality they deserve in Detroit."
The hotel added that it believes "comfort is king".
Along with building the hotel, the casino's gaming space was extended to include a conference centre, a 1,200-seat theatre and a spa.
It also offers new dining facilities and shops.
Guests at the hotel have the option of getting married there, a system being used by the hotel's first ever guests Edwin Davis and Annette Kjelstad.
MotorCity is one of Detroit's three casinos and last year had a revenue of over $400 million, according to Forbes.
