The rumoured security breach at Absolute Poker (AP) has been confirmed by the online poker operator.
In a statement, the site said: "All players affected by the security breach will be identified during the audit process that has been initiated and all funds, including interest, will be returned."
The information was revealed in an e-mail from AP and is not available in the press release section of their website.
Rumours started circulating last week that an AP employee had given hole-card information to a player during a tournament in September.
Online Casino News reported allegations that one of AP's bosses had been fired over the scandal, however, this has yet to be commented on by the website.
According to Poker News, the scandal has been discussed on MSNBC and ABC among other major news outlets.
The brief statement from AP indicated that there will be a more comprehensive announcement "forthcoming shortly".
