A charity poker tournament was held in South Georgia this week with the proceeds going to the Thronateeska Heritage Center's Education Programs.
The River Pointe Golf Club hosted the event which saw 120 players turn up for a game of Texas Hold 'Em.
The winner won $1,000 plus three nights at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.
Executive director for the programs Tommy Gregors said: "We got a lot of players that are novices, players that haven't played a lot. Others that have played in other tournaments in town and in other competitions.
"It's also a good way to expose Thronateeska to a different group of people that normally wouldn't come."
The state of Georgia only has one casino according to the World Casino Directory and is in joint 46th place in the country for gaming activity.
