The winner of PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) event has been disqualified.
Tournament winner 'TheV0id', who had won $1.378 million, was found by the website to be in breach of their terms and conditions.
Allegations of cheating engulfed the tournament almost as soon as it finished, with the main accusation being that the winner had entered the tournament several times through different accounts.
TheV0id is rumoured to be the alias of professional poker player Mark Telscher, who finished second at the European Poker Tour: Barcelona Open.
PokerStars have removed TheV0id from the tournament positionings, meaning that the first-place prize will now go to second-placed 'ka$ino' who will earn an extra $530,000.
The cheating incident is likely to be embarrassing [will it be?] to PokerStars, which is Costa Rican-owned and based in the Isle of Man.
