Casinos that have historically attracted high-rollers and VIPs are starting to broaden their appeal, it has been claimed.
According to a report in Forbes, some resorts are allowing people to stay in the hotel without spending a dime in the casino.
For example, visitors to the Hugh Hefner SkyVilla at the Palms or the Viva Las Penthouse Suite can choose to spend a night in luxury surroundings without having to qualify as high-rollers.
Inna Matveichuk, head of client services at concierge service LuxeVegas.com, said: "To be a high roller, you have to spend an amazing amount of money at the table, but you also have to spend an amazing amount of time."
However, The Bellagio and The Venetian in Las Vegas still reserve their most luxurious suites for high-rollers.
Rich gamblers at The Bellagio can also enjoy its extravagant surroundings, such as the collection of 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers, the botanical gardens and the resort's musical fountain display.
