A casino on board a luxury vessel anchored in international waters off Goa, India is to be launched in mid-2008, it has been announced.
High-rollers will be ferried by speedboats to and from the ship, which is currently being decked out in Italy.
Amar Sinha, managing director of Pan India Network Infravest, which runs the Playwin gaming brand, said: "We'll be offering 20,000 sq ft of casino area, which will rival the best Las Vegas has to offer."
Mr Sinha said he hoped to expand Playwin's global reach to Europe, central Asia and South Africa.
"We currently have a presence in Kenya, Cambodia and the Philippines. A lot of other opportunities are being contemplated," he added.
There is already one floating casino operating in the seas off Goa and a report in the New Zealand Herald suggests there could be up to 11 ships operating in the area by the end of the year.
