MGM Mirage's new casino resort the MGM Grand Detroit has opened for reservations, it has been announced.
Hotel reservations may now be made for November 1st 2007 and beyond, the casino operator revealed.
Some 400 guest rooms are expected to be available, with nine VIP roof terraces for high-rollers.
John Hutar, vice-president of hotel operations at MGM Grand Detroit, said: "We believe we will deliver downtown Detroit's first true luxury experience."
He added that the firm has "built our hotel and casino from the ground up to ensure our guests will be delighted and inspired at the turn of every corner".
The hotel's lobby has been designed to incorporate a backlit cascading fountain, living room with fireplace and a ceiling height of some 20 feet.
MGM Mirage stated in March that the development was the largest construction project taking place in the state of Michigan.
