A pair of Las Vegas poker events have been announced for February 21st through March 11th, with two of the area's biggest gambling firms going head to head.
The seemingly inadvertent move will see the Venetian and Wynns compete via their respective Deep Stack Extravaganza and Wynn Classic events.
Both events feature a number of money-spinning tournaments and feature progressively larger buy-ins throughout their two and a half week runs.
The Deep Stack event will feature 19 daily tournaments featuring buy-ins of $300 to $500, with 16 of the events using the now-traditional no limit Hold'Em format. The Wynn Classic will begin with satellite events before buy-ins gradually increase in size.
Tournaments with $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000 buy-ins will build up to the main event itself, a $10,000 buy-in final that will run for the final four days of the tournament.
The Venetian poker room holds 39 tables of card play, with the Wynn poker room currently featuring 26.
