The Reno, Nevada, casino intends to introduce a 600 room hotel tower, a 62,000 square foot convention center and a 35,000 square foot spa resort, plans which will "[equal]anything you'll see on the Strip in Las Vegas," according to state Senator Bill Raggio.
Other regional leaders were also encouraged by the potential benefits of the expansion.
"When we bring our airline partners to this, the chief executives, they'll be impressed. It is a statement about our community," said Reno-Tahoe International Airport executive director Krys Bart, speaking to the Reno Gazette Journal.
Other plans for the resort include the installation of a retail shopping center and a 6,000 square foot casino arcade. The Peppermill was recently chosen as one of the top ten casino hotels in America by editors of internet search engine MSN.
