$1m slots competition starts rolling

Atlantic City's first million dollar slots competition has begun at the famed casinos Resorts and the Hilton.

Lucky slot-lovers can win iPods and cars every day as they qualify for the grand finale slots tournament on November 25 at the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort.

The 20 finalists will qualify for the grand tournament by playing free slots for five minutes to get enough points to enter the sweepstakes round.

Regional senior vice president of Resorts and the Hilton, Phil Juliano, said "With a guaranteed prize of $1,000,000, this tournament is an absolute slot player's dream."

The casinos at Resorts and Hilton are the smaller and lesser-known gaming venues in the east coast sin city town, and they want this competition to prove they want serious slots competitors at their casino.

Promotional games like the slots tournament are laid thick to compete with other casinos through the summer months in Atlantic City and many venues have opted to continue their competitive strategies into the fall.

Mr Juliano said they were ready for the marketing wars.

"We're going to compete and we think everyone else is going to compete, too."

Resorts Atlantic City will also feature performances by classic crooner Sammy Davis, Jr. from 5th to the 16th November.
