Bond stunt unit stirred over plane haunting

The stunt crew of a 747 jet which will appear in the new Bond film Casino Royale have been shaken and stirred by ghoulish apparitions during filming.

The film unit shooting scenes for the latest in the Bond series have been unnerved by unexplained occurrences aboard the jumbo.

According to reports in The Sun newspaper, the plane's lights and warning systems have come on despite the fact that it has no power.

The Casino Royale crew apparently refused to spend a night on the 747, believing that it may be haunted by the ghost of a female former passenger who died of a heart attack while aboard.

Staff also claim to have seen an apparition gliding along the aisles of the 30-year-old aircraft, and some fear that the spirit is protecting the machine.

A source told The Sun: "Some crew won't go on board at all because of the ghost. It's been a real problem."

The £2 million aircraft will feature in a scene in which controversial new Bond actor Daniel Craig attempts to stop a villain from ramming the 747 with another plane.

Casino Royal, the latest in the perennially popular Bond series of films, is due to appear in cinemas from 17th November.
