Media celebrity Anna Benson hosted her own poker tournament on Monday night as an offshoot of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
The model and wife of Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kris Benson put up $5,000 for the first prize and the event was enjoyed by many members of the media, reports Poker News.
Players from both Europe and the US participated in the evening, which was said to be a welcome change from the serious business that is the WSOP main event.
When asked which was hardest out of baseball, modelling or poker, she was quick to answer.
"Baseball, definitely. Kris is always seemingly on the road and it never seems that we get to spend any time together," she said.
Ms Benson proved herself once again to be a good and aggressive player, although she didn't make the final table.
However, she can console herself in the knowledge that she is heading into the second round of the main tournament today with around $60,000 to her name.
