A leading online casino review site has advocated online casinos as the safest way to gamble.
OnlineCasinoReports has highlighted the unfortunate case of Robyn Smith back in May 2002 who despite winning big at a land-based casino will not be hurrying back.
She had won the jackpot on a video poker machine but rather than her prize falling out of the machine, she was horrified to see part of the machine fall off and land on her foot seriously injuring her.
This case did not go amiss by the site and it helpfully pointed out that "such accidents could never happen using software at an online casino".
The report continued: "If there is any lesson that can be taken home from this is that it's much safer to play for winning jackpots at the online casino than it is at the land based casinos."
Ms Smith has recently hired a lawyer and is in the process of claiming $1 million for the injuries she sustained while playing slots.
