Online casino revenues to exceed $22bn

Revenues from online casino gambling will exceed $22 billion annually over the next five years, analysts predict.

The online casino industry is flourishing despite opposition from the US government, and revenues are expected to soar in spite of legal issues.

And while the US government maintains its anti-gambling position, banks, investors and online casino operators in the UK are making the most of the boom.

The US government's refusal to legalise and regulate the industry could be costing the country as much as $7 billion per year in revenue.

Some internet giants such as Yahoo! and Google have towed the US government line by not advertising for online casino firms, but many other media outlets continue to do so and sites such as VIP Casino are benefiting.

But as 2006 progresses it appears that online casino will continue its growth and the US' position will remain unchanged, according to Online Casino Reports.

VIP Casino, established in 1999 has a new game release in April which will bring its total games to over 180 including a range of 3,9 and 20 line slots.
